Tactile rubber pavers fall into two categories: directional tactile pavers and warning tactile pavers. Directional pavers have bar-shaped raised ridges with a long-strip touch, like navigation lines laid on the ground, guiding visually impaired people along a fixed direction. Warning pavers use dense dot-shaped raised patterns with distinctly changing touch, indicating intersections, obstacles, stairs or hazardous areas ahead so that visually impaired people can adjust their route in time. The two types work together to form a complete tactile paving system.
